Realities of Climate Change Realities of climate change Tourism defines vacations meant for various reasons including spiritual nourishment, commercial reasons, relaxation, and for enjoyment. Usually, tourism involves both foreign explorations and local tours that require exploitation over a limited time span. These transnational and indigenous travels trace back to a vast history, but it is only in the recent past that the industry has experienced a massive growth in these particular categories. The phenomenon of visits both internal and external has remarkable evolutions as the utmost widespread and recognized form of activities pertinent to leisure the world over. Evidently, many nations notwithstanding have their increased GDPs tracing back to the ideology of either foreign or localized trips. The present-day arena has evidenced attributed to features of this tremendously growing industry that involve managing of events and the aspect of hospitality. Further, it is eminent to outline the commercial activities relating to hospitality such as theme reserves, managing events, transportations, lodge responsibilities, and cruise lines (Clayton, 2009, p. S3). Additionally, managing an event is purely the use of ideas that embrace the way professionals manage projects. For instance, managing projects entail the structuring of an event on a large-scale stance, which makes use of the legal bashes, festivities, conferential sessions, ceremonial gatherings, and performances among others. Moreover, postulates from renowned researchers and analysts have pointed out that both local and international trips coupled with hospitality affects global change of the climate (Pang, 2013, p.5). Therefore, the essay explores the ever-changing context of travel industry encompassing management of events and hospitality that adds to the change of the climate. In the modern context, both national and international explorations have profoundly evolved (Page & Connell, 2009). The ever-fluctuating geographies in the universe explicitly elucidate this kind of evolution (Azarya, 2004, p. 949). Regarding the varying topographies of travelling, numerous elements have largely managed to contribute toward the phenomenon. Essentially, these factors trigger changes in the either climate thus affecting the environment negatively or positively (Fairley, Ruhanen, & Lovegrove, 2015, p.2). In the first instance, these factors relate to the way in which numerous contributions emanate from the travel stakeholders, the hosting government, and the innovations emerging in the destination realms. Mindful of this phenomenon, there is anecdotal evidence for the establishment of novel tourism. In addition, exploring the new geographies has also remained counted as a contributing factor to this development. Due to opening up of rural and inaccessible localities, travel has been made feasible as the tourists find the places to be attractive and meeting their trip expectations (Seedhouse, 2008). Thus, improvements made in the telecommunication and transportation departments have played a considerable duty in the boosting of such travels. Considerately, these advances contribute to changes in climate, for instance, there has been hill sectioning in the bid to develop roads. Further, deforestation has engulfed the beautiful sceneries to establish roads, rails, and airports to foster international journeys. Although these activities lead to increased economies, they also bring about devastating effects on the environs and massively lead to changes in climatic conditions. Locations with fabricated geographies are also receiving guests from diverse regions of the world due to their significant attractiveness. For example, many tourists from all over the world have recently visited the Palm Islands situated in Dubai. These visits in turn bring about changes to the climate. Hence, it is vital noticing that globally climate is affected by the fluctuating tourism geographies (Cashman, Cumberbatch, & Moore, 2012, p. 17). The rising demands in the industries of travel and hospitality are observed due to varied topographies of travelling in the contemporary scenes. Apparently, it is critical to deem the demand for travel as a factor of the shifting lifestyles of the populations in the universe. Thus, the change in lifestyle is associated with climate change in most of the developing world, India and China are not exceptions. The increased income levels among the populations of these developing nations due to the increased rates of jobs that have enabled the hiked demand for global journeys. The travel demand on the global basis is because of the realization of the importance of the efficient use of the time allocated to leisure in most developed states. More business societies realize the importance of paid trips for their workforce that have escalated the need for travelling and use of hospitality ventures in the world sphere. In addition, there has been massive travel consumptions in the destination countries that respond to the evolved demand of tourism. In fact, every visit leads to a huge production of wastes that in turn affect the climate in question. Global warming marks the illustrative landmark of the effects of the changing climate that result from rising consumption of the products and services offered in the travel industry. Henceforth, it is vital to realize that the hiked need of international and localized holiday trips lead to substantial changes observed in the global climate. An increased supply of travel and hospitality services and products has embraced the tourism sphere due to a rise in the demand of the industry in a global context. In the attempt to moderate the rising and fluctuating demand of the hospitality and travel industry, the supply of such products related to the industries is crucial. Modernity has customized the tourism products in world leading to customer satisfaction and mitigation of such enormous demands. IT has received applauses due to its intervening capacity to save and improve the clients’ demand for the travel products. As opposed to localized purchase of goods in the traditional world, the consumers have access to products from all over the digital globe. Ecosystems of the destination tourist attractions remains posited with challenges due to increased access to the tourism products, hence contributing to increased changes in the global climate. Policy implementation, poor planning, and political sceneries affect tourism and then contribute to the change in climate (Shone, & Ali Memon, 2008, p. 290). Support from politics toward the organizations that deal with travel leads to modelling of anti-environmental protection policies as a means to curb extra expenditures on the protection of the environment. Due to such frail rules, the organizations are not restricted to the environmentally favourable activities thus affecting the ecosystems. Consequentially, it is vital to point out that, poor planning, politicking tourism, and feeble policies have deleterious effects on a global climate. Despite the developments and growth of the industry regarding tourism, it is not easy to curb some risks such as global warming. Risks pertinent to the global warming have received anecdotal pieces of evidence provided including icebergs melting in the Polar Regions. Due to increased melting of icebergs, the sea levels are on the rise affecting the tourist-destined areas in the coastal regions. The evidence provided point out that there is a considerable threat to the hospitality and travel industry. In the bid to manage such risks, it is better for the governments to strategize and implement various measures that intervene in the course of managing the crises. Sustainability issues have risen due to the threats from the environmental, cultural, economic, and the social dimensions. The environmental menace is the primary drive of the issues in sustainability regarding this industry (Razaq & Musgrave, 2009). Degradation of aesthetics and the tourist sites affect the industry and in turn pose a challenge to the aspect of sustainability, remarkably due to global warming. The trends in global warming intertwine with underprivileged economies in the developing world affecting the plants and animals that usually hold the essence of tourists. Financial crises in the developing nations render the control of climate and protection of the environment null, thus positing issues to sustainability. Noticeably, to address the issues of sustainability, there must be effective resource mapping and management, for instance, natural resources, human resources, amid others (Kelman, 2011, p.338). Decisively, management of resources marks an indelible strategy to deal with sustainability issues in the travel industry. Proper management of the human resources could translate to positive environmental politics that will facilitate the hospitality, travel industry, and counter its harmful effects on the environment. Developments in the economic sphere will support long-term development in the travel industry and further offer financial support in the efforts to control degradation of the environment and changes in the climate. Real developments in the global economies will contribute to the establishment of actions that will leverage the changing environment. Community improvement, the creation of awareness, and the development of the travel industry alleviate devastating effects to the environment and boost the activities of tourism. In the recent past, there have been observations of residential trips or tour products, in this case, the individual travellers explore novel ventures and familiarities to the residential homes for a couple of days. These trips are somewhat like the usual travels of schools due to the experiences gained by the individuals. A notable difference between these two trips is that, students normally come back after a day as opposed to home travels where the individuals stay for quite some time. In this perspective, the more they stay, the higher the consumption of the travel products leading to higher levels of waste generation. The situation then escalates the risks of environmental pollution that affect the changing climate causing global warming. In the future, anticipations show that the travel industry will thrive in a scenario of dynamism and prosperity because of the rising need of the travel industry in the universe (Aramberri, 2010, p, 367). Prospects hold that, renovations, product customizations, and discoveries will make it possible for the expansion of this industry. The entirety of these expansions is to satisfy the consumers of tourism and raise the advantageous aspect of the organizations dealing with tourists. However, high wastage might result from product customization due to increased consumption among the travellers. The increased product wastage results in liquid and waste generation that if not controlled will eventually affect the ecosystems of the toured regions leading to a change in the environment. Optimists have confidence that the future tourist industry will experience numerous activities in the commercial sector for the industry to gain and create awareness among the populations. The awareness will majorly focus on the protection of the environment thus altering the vast changes observed in the global sphere. The ethical facet of the global world is also adding up to the control of global warming. Organizations that participate in the tourist activities have embraced CSR that is a critical factor in the restriction of adverse climate changes (Jenkins & Schroder, 2013). Environmental protection and climate control bring profits since they benefit both the individual organizations and the environment. Further, it enriches the organizations’ goodwill, rebrands the public images of the participating organizations and encourages the tourists to keep visiting such attractive destinations. CSR is an important aspect as it resolves issues that relate to the politics and protection of the global climate in the hosting nations (Frenzel, Koens, & Steinbrink, 2012). Many organizations in the contemporary era of tourism have signed treaties that serve to protect the environment and further reduce the devastating effects of climate change. Such organizations include IPCC, WNO and many more that have foci on the protection of the environment and have valid reasons for the protection of the changing global climate. Agencies that thrive in regions, for example, the EAA and the NGOs such as CRP have majorly contributed towards the alleviation of the adverse effects of climate change. The current era of tourism bears the core obligation in the manner in which it encourages the visitors to minimize the pollution of the visited regions. Therefore, it is evident that CSR contributes to the protection of the environs against the changes observed in the climate. Evolutions that relate to the travel industry are observed in the apparent periods because of many discoveries and renovations that underlie the countries and the regions that the tourists visit. These improvements and innovations together with the customization of the products of tourism have led to the increased demand for international tourism. Further, the need for global tourist products has also led to the observed changes in the varying climate and global warming. This exploratory study has also made it possible to realize that there are numerous factors contributing to the change in climate. For example, feeble policies, poor planning, and politics are the profound factors that affect the travel industry. Moreover, climate change in the global sphere leads to risks and sustainability issues about the tourism industry. For development to be sustainable, the industry must carry out an effective management of resources to spur long-term affluence and developments in the travel sector. Finally, the ethical considerations must be taken into account to trigger and align developments in the travel industry. Bibliography Aramberri, J.
