Download file to see previous pages The theoretical framework proposed for this study includes Self-Efficacy (SE;) and Organizational Commitment (OC). In order to establish the relationship between CCPs’ SE, and employee commitment, data will be collected with two survey instruments, the Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ), and the Work Self-Efficacy inventory (WS-Ei). Data will be analyzed by using both parametric (t-tests, multiple regression analyses) and nonparametric tests (Spearman correlations if the multiple regression assumptions are violated). The outcome of this study may lead to positive social changes in the perfusion community, resulting in the improvement of human and social conditions at multiple levels. In addition, the outcomes of this inquiry may facilitate the development of new ideas in the form of better tools, leadership strategies to improve working conditions, and the implementation of actions designed to promote the worth, dignity, and development of CCPs.
Psychological well-being is a mental state resulting from self-acceptance, positive relations with others, autonomy, environmental mastery, purpose in life, and personal growth (Ryff, 1989). Historically, the well-being of CCPs in local perfusion settings has not been discussed or measured. Because of the complex nature of their job, CCPs are likely to experience work pressures that affect their ability to perform prescribed tasks, interact with team members, and cope with workplace stressors, all of which can impact self-efficacy and commitment in employees (Bandura, 1997; Bui et al., 2011; Kaptanoglu & Demir, 2013; Meyers &Allen, 1991). Of several studies located on this topic, none focused on the impact of individual factors (age, gender, workload, experience, education, and self-efficacy on the commitment of CCPs. The purpose of this quantitative correlational study aims to investigate the role of age, gender, workload, experience, education, and self-efficacy on CCP commitment. The theoretical framework proposed for this study includes Self-Efficacy (SE) and Organizational Commitment (OC).
